Football Game Preview: Mansfield Tigers vs. Charleston Tigers

Mansfield will square off against Charleston at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Charleston will be up against a hot Mansfield squad: the team just extended their winning streak to four. The Tigers really took it to Hackett for the full four quarters, racking up a 52-6 victory. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 32-6.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Tigers on Friday. Charleston simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat West Fork 45-7. Charleston hasn't had any issues with West Fork recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

Mansfield better keep an eye on Carter Little. He was instrumental in Charleston's win, throwing for 134 yards and three touchdowns on only nine passes. Little is crushing it when it comes to passing touchdowns: he's passed for at least three every time he's taken the field this season.

Charleston's victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Mansfield, their win bumped their record up to an identical 4-0.

Mansfield came out on top in a nail-biter against Charleston when the teams last played back in October of 2024, sneaking past 42-39. Will Mansfield repeat their success, or does Charleston has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
