Softball Recap: Leakey Comes Up Short

Fans were treated to a battle of the Eagles on Friday. Leakey fell just short of Junction by a score of 10-9. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against Junction this season, with their most recent defeat being a 15-5 loss on Friday.

Angelina Palacios made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-1. Another player making a difference was Kaylee Preece, who scored a run and stole two bases.

Leakey's loss dropped their record down to 14-12-1. As for Junction, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-15.

Looking ahead, Leakey will venture away from home to square off against D'Hanis at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Junction, they will welcome Goldthwaite at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
