Soccer Game Preview: Foothills Christian vs. Classical Academy

The Foothills Christian Knights will look to take advantage of their home pitch for the first time this season as they take on the Classical Academy Caimans at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Foothills Christian's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Foothills Christian fell victim to Francis Parker and their airtight defense on Wednesday. They came up short against the Lancers, falling 5-0.

Despite a strong season so far, Classical Academy has seen their luck take a bit of a downturn recently. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 5-4 heartbreaker at the hands of San Diego Jewish Academy. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Caimans came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 258th, while the Lions are ranked 822nd).

Foothills Christian's loss dropped their record down to 2-14-2. As for Classical Academy, their defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 8-3-2.
