Volleyball Recap: Wando Comes Up Short in High-Profile Contest with Dorman

Wando faced Dorman in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Warriors fell 2-0 to the Cavaliers. The defeat continues a trend for the Warriors in their meetings with the Cavaliers: they've now lost five in a row.

Lily Mahoney paced Wando's offense, picking up five kills. Mahoney got some help from McKenna St. Clair and her ten assists.

Wando's loss dropped their record down to 17-7. As for Dorman, the victory (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 18-4.

Wando wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Pickens on the 27th. As for Dorman, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against Cardinal Newman on the 27th.
