Basketball Recap: Peter Socci's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Hebron over Washington Township

Hebron was the 72-45 winner over Washington Township when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Hebron Hawks fell 61-53 to the Washington Township Senators on Thursday.

Hebron lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Peter Socci, who went 7 for 16 on his way to 17 points. Another player making a difference was Spencer Spinks, who posted five points and 16 boards.

Aiden Armstrong had an outrageously good game for Washington Township as he dropped a double-double on 17 points and 11 rebounds. That's the most points Armstrong has posted since back in February of 2024. Brogan Banker was another key player, putting up 11 points and five boards.

Hebron's loss dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Washington Township, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season.

Hebron didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, an 82-29 victory against Whiting on the 8th. As for Washington Township, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 70-48 win against Lake Station Edison on the 8th.
