The team also got some help courtesy of Brandon Martinez, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds and three steals.

Even though they lost, Arvada smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 20 offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Jefferson only pulled down ten offensive rebounds.

Jefferson's win bumped their record up to 4-16. As for Arvada, their loss dropped their record down to 8-13.

Jefferson's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Bennett at 5:00 p.m. on February 12th. Jefferson will be up against Bennett's rather soft defense (which has allowed 50.5 points per match), so fans could be in store for a big offensive showing. As for Arvada, they will head out on the road to square off against STEM School Highlands Ranch at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Arvada knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three contests -- so hopefully STEM School Highlands Ranch likes a good challenge.
