Baseball Recap: Bermudian Springs Picks Up Seventh Consecutive Win

Bermudian Springs barely beat Littlestown the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Eagles never let the Thunderbolts get on the board and left with a 9-0 win on Wednesday. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won seven matches by nine runs or more so far this season.

Branson Diller was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out eight over seven innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

In other batting news, Dylan Hubbard was a standout: he scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was Lane Hubbard, who scored two runs while going 3-for-4.

Bermudian Springs always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .537. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Littlestown only posted an OBP of .000.

The victory (which was Bermudian Springs' seventh in a row) raised their record to 8-1. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.6 runs over those games. As for Littlestown, they dropped their record down to 3-5-1 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bermudian Springs will face off against York County Tech at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Littlestown, they will square off against Delone Catholic at 4:15 p.m. on Friday.
