Curry is 8-2 against Lawrence County since February of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Curry Yellowjackets will face off against the Lawrence County Red Devils at 4:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Lawrence County will be up against a hot Curry squad: the team just extended their winning streak to six. Curry put the hurt on Pike Road with a sharp 11-3 victory on Friday.

Brooklyn Morton looked comfortable as she tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up a single walk in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Madie Gross was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. Alyssa Teel was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one home run and three RBI.

Curry always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .600. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Pike Road only posted an OBP of .333.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lawrence County). They blew past West Morgan 17-6 on Thursday. The win continues a trend for the Red Devils in their matchups with the Rebels: they've now won four in a row.

The team relied heavily on Alivia Templeton, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, four runs, and five RBI. Those four runs gave her a new career-high. AB McKay also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

Curry's record is now 11-1. As for Lawrence County, their record is now 13-3.

Curry took their victory against Lawrence County when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 12-6. Does Curry have another victory up their sleeve, or will Lawrence County turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
