The West Branch Bears will head out to challenge the Bellevue Comets at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.

On Friday, West Branch got the win against Anamosa by a conclusive 23-3. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bears.

Meanwhile, everything came up roses for Bellevue against Tipton on Friday as the team secured a 38-8 win. The victory continues a trend for the Comets in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won three in a row.

Bellevue's win bumped their record up to 7-0. As for West Branch, their victory bumped their record up to 5-2.

West Branch took their win against Bellevue in their previous matchup back in September of 2019 by a conclusive 52-28 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bears since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
