Big North - Freedom recap October 22, 2013
Ridgewood added to the longest winning streak in Big North - Freedom this week by beating East Orange Campus, 53-0. The victory was the fifth in a row for the team.
Hackensack scaled the state rankings by moving to 126 from 155 this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Comets were able to move up by beating Clifton 29-0.
Jamal Locke put up the best numbers in passing as Ridgewood topped the Jaguars. He finished with a total of 4 completions for 66 yards and 1 touchdown. Locke's favorite target this week was Connor Van Caugherty, who caught 2 passes for 39 yards.
Hackensack's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Comets feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Jalen Wheeler has thrown for 631 yards and 4 touchdowns this season, while Deandre Christmas has 25 catches for 334 yards.
Charles W. Johnson III's team took down East Orange Campus 53-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Locke ran for 85 yards during the win.
