Softball Recap: Boyertown Picks Up Seventh Straight Win at Home

Boyertown entered their tilt with Quakertown on Wednesday with two consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with three. They put the hurt on the Quakertown Panthers with a sharp 17-2 victory. This was payback for the Bears, who suffered a 6-3 loss the last time these two teams met.

Kyra Neiswender was a major factor no matter where she played. She struck out six batters over three innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run any time she's pitched this season. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, Lindsay Mathias was a standout: she went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. Mathias is crushing it when it comes to home runs: she's launched at least one every time she's taken the field this season. Rielynn Carey was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and one double.

Boyertown lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now launched at least two home runs in three consecutive matches.
