McIntosh County Academy has won seven straight games at home, while Wheeler County has won seven straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Wednesday. The McIntosh County Academy Buccaneers will host the Wheeler County Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. McIntosh County Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 61.9 points per game this season.

Last Friday, McIntosh County Academy didn't have quite enough to beat Savannah and fell 48-45.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Jayden Ellis, who went 5-for-12 on his way to 14 points. He is also on a roll when it comes to three-point shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 43% in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Mj Quarterman, who posted 11 points along with eight boards and three blocks.

Even though they lost, McIntosh County Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in three consecutive matchups.

Meanwhile, Wheeler County didn't have too much trouble with Wilcox County on Saturday as they won 51-37. The Bulldogs haven't had any issues with the Patriots recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

McIntosh County Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 22-5. As for Wheeler County, their win bumped their record up to 13-9.

McIntosh County Academy didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Wheeler County in their previous meeting back in November of 2019, but they still walked away with an 81-76 victory. Will McIntosh County Academy repeat their success, or does Wheeler County have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
