Softball Recap: Dunbar Comes Up Short

Dunbar was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 24-3 to the Benbrook Bobcats. If the Wildcats were looking for revenge after losing 17-6 to the Bobcats when the teams met back in March of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Dunbar saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Maali Williams-Surles, who scored a run while going 1-for-1.

Dunbar's loss dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Benbrook, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-8.

Coincidentally, Dunbar and Benbrook will both be playing Carter-Riverside the next time they take the field. Benbrook will host Carter-Riverside at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, while Dunbar will host them at 7:30 p.m. on the 26th.
