Basketball Game Preview: Ellensburg Bulldogs vs. Ephrata Tigers

The Ellensburg Bulldogs will head out on the road to square off against the Ephrata Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Ellensburg's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 14 games.

Ellensburg will head into Tuesday's contest on the come-up: they were handed a 20-point defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged Quincy out 67-64.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Ephrata). They blew past Othello 71-47 on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Tigers have posted against the Huskies since February 7, 2020.

Ephrata has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 6-12 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.8 points per game. As for Ellensburg, their win bumped their record up to 10-7.

Ellensburg was able to grind out a solid victory over Ephrata in their previous meeting on January 4th, winning 57-46. The rematch might be a little tougher for Ellensburg since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
