Softball Recap: Oconomowoc Snags Eighth Victory in Last Ten Games

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Muskego, Oconomowoc was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They blew past the Waukesha North Northstars 10-2. The high-scoring effort was just what the Raccoons needed considering they were shut out in their previous contest.

Kayla Glidewell spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on four hits and racked up seven Ks.

At the plate, Oconomowoc let Carli Moldenhauer and Finnley Bolson run wild. Moldenhauer went 3-for-5 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base, while Bolson got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. That triple was Moldenhauer's first of the season. Kamryn Stoltz was another key player, going 2-for-5 with two RBI and one double.

Oconomowoc has been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.0 runs over those games. As for Waukesha North, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-12.

Coming up, Oconomowoc will square off against Hartford at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Waukesha North, they will take on Cambria-Friesland at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Hilltoppers will roll in looking for their 12th straight win, something the Northstars surely won't give up without a fight.
