Soccer Recap: Stony Point Takes a Loss

Stony Point lost to Round Rock back in February and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Tigers lost 6-0 to the Dragons. While losing is never fun, Stony Point can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 223rd, while Round Rock are ranked 22nd).

This is the second loss in a row for Stony Point and nudges their season record down to 5-11-4. As for Round Rock, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-2-4 record this season.

Stony Point does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Round Rock, they will take on Vandegrift at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few goals on average (Round Rock 0.4, Vandegrift 0.4) so any goals scored will be well earned.
