Maury entered their tilt with Churchland on Wednesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Truckers 3-0. That's more bragging rights for the Commodores, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Maury was especially dominant in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-19, 25-18.

Keegan Anuar paced Maury's offense, picking up seven kills. Anuar got some help from Luke Shomaker and his 13 assists. Shomaker was also solid from the service line: he led the team with five aces.

Maury's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Churchland, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Maury will challenge Booker T. Washington at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Churchland, they will venture away from home to square off against Lakeland at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
