Hooks hadn't done well against Atlanta recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Hornets walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Rabbits. This was payback for the Hornets, who suffered a 3-2 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Hooks was especially dominant in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 22-25, 25-14, 25-21.

The win made it two in a row for Hooks and bumps their season record up to 22-7. As for Atlanta, they moved to 6-11 with that loss, which also ended their five-game winning streak.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Hooks will challenge rival Redwater at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Atlanta is set to square off against their familiar foe De Kalb at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
