Basketball Recap: New Haven Comes Up Short

New Haven lost against Linn back in November of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Shamrocks had to suffer through a 60-23 loss at the hands of the Wildcats. The Shamrocks were down 49-18 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Leading Linn to victory were Paige Senevey and Carley Brandt. Senevey dropped a double-double with ten points and 12 rebounds, while Brandt dropped a double-double with 17 points and 14 boards. The dominant performance also gave Senevey a new career-high in steals (seven). Another player making a difference was Nicole Grellner, who posted 11 points.

Linn's win was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 1-1.

New Haven will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Washington at 7:15 p.m. on December 8. As for Linn, they will take on Eugene at 8:30 p.m. on Monday.
