Baseball Recap: Paxton-Buckley-Loda Comes Up Short

Paxton-Buckley-Loda lost against St. Teresa back in March of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Paxton-Buckley-Loda came up short against St. Teresa, falling 14-8. Even though they lost, the Panthers' still made a splash at the plate and bumped their average scoring up to 6.4 runs per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).

Charles Cambridge made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3. Connor Murphy also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Even though they lost, Paxton-Buckley-Loda was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in four consecutive games.

Paxton-Buckley-Loda now has a losing record of 2-3. As for St. Teresa, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Coming up, Paxton-Buckley-Loda will challenge Ridgeview at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for St. Teresa, they will square off against MacArthur at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
