Softball Recap: McKinney Comes Up Short

McKinney was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 7-4 to the Sachse Mustangs. The Lions were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Mustangs apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

McKinney saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kady Huggins, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

McKinney's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7-1. As for Sachse, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

McKinney didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 5-0 loss against Wylie East on the 22nd. Sachse has also already played their next game (against McKinney North), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
