Flag Football Game Preview: Hercules Titans vs. De Anza Dons

The Hercules Titans will challenge the De Anza Dons at 11:15 a.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (Hercules 11.6, De Anza 14.4) so any points scored will be well earned.

On Monday, Hercules beat Pinole Valley 19-6. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Titans.

Hercules' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ana Reyes Del Castillo, who threw for 130 yards and a pair of touchdowns, and also rushed for 44 yards. The dominant performance also gave Reyes Del Castillo a new career-high in passing touchdowns (two).

Hercules didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Jornae Banks, Nia Saechao, Javelin Mills, and Malaya Bibbs picked up one apiece. Mills has been hot recently, having also posted at least one sack the last three times she's played.

Meanwhile, De Anza fell victim to Bethel and their airtight defense on Wednesday. They fell 6-0 to the Jaguars.

Hercules' win bumped their record up to 9-6. As for De Anza, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-5 record this season.

Hercules strolled past De Anza when the teams last played last Wednesday by a score of 20-6. Will the Titans repeat their success, or do the Dons have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
