Ellington fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Enfield on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 4-3. The Knights' loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Ellington got a good showing from Jake Siegel, who tossed four innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. Siegel has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in seven consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Ellington saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Liam Hebert, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Ellington's defeat dropped their record down to 14-5. As for Enfield, their win bumped their record up to 9-12.
