Baseball Recap: Hampton Bulldogs vs. Hermitage Hermits
Hampton had taken Hermitage down for five straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Friday. The Hampton Bulldogs lost 16-10 to the Hermitage Hermits. That's two games in a row now that the Bulldogs have lost by exactly six runs.
Tre Lambert was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Wesley Ogden, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.
Hampton dropped their record down to 1-6 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Hermitage, with the win, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 1-4.
