Northwest Christian School dropped their record down to 12-3 on Tuesday, which also ended the team's eight-game streak of wins. They lost 7-0 to the Chewelah Cougars. Surprisingly, this marked the Crusaders' fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

As for Chewelah, the win keeps they at an undefeated 14-0. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 13.6 runs this season.

For Chewelah's part, the result came thanks to Luke McGuire's shutout, as he gave up just three hits and racked up 13 Ks. McGuire has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Dekota Acosta, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles and two RBI. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high. Josiah Whittekiend was another key player, going 1-for-2 with three RBI.

While Northwest Christian School had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
