Basketball Recap: Lakewood Comes Up Short

Lakewood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They took a blow against the Keyport Raiders, falling 68-37. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Piners of the 72-49 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2024.

Lakewood's loss dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Keyport, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-5.

Lakewood will look to defend their home court on Monday against Edison at 4:00 p.m. As for Keyport, they will host Raritan at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
