Volleyball Recap: Waverly Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Waverly extended their losing streak to 12 on Tuesday, dropping them down to 2-29-2. They lost 3-0 to the Okemos Wolves. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wolves this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

Tamara Richardson paced Waverly's offense, picking up five kills. Richardson got some help from Kalina Fast and her 11 assists. Fast was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

As for Okemos, their victory bumped their record up to 13-17-2. They not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since October 7th (when they won 3-0).

Among those leading the charge was McKenzie Gunns, who had seven digs and two aces. What's more, she posted two assists, the most she's had over her last three matches.

Waverly wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Holt on the 23rd. As for Okemos, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against DeWitt on the 28th.
