Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Julia Lee and Carolyn Angelicchio Lead Oakton to Victory + How To Watch

Oakton proved they can win big last Thursday (they won by three) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Westfield Bulldogs 3-2. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-1 back in September.

If you add up the scores from across all five sets (101-95) Oakton actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 14-25, 25-16, 16-25, 25-23, 15-12.

Leading Oakton to victory were Carolyn Angelicchio and Julia Lee. Angelicchio had 17 digs and three assists, while Lee had 17 digs and two aces. That's the most digs Angelicchio has posted since back in September.

Oakton's victory bumped their record up to 12-7. As for Westfield, their loss dropped their record down to 11-11.
