Baseball Recap: Wauseon Comes Up Short

Wauseon lost against Central Catholic back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Indians lost 12-2 to the Fighting Irish. The Indians have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Wauseon's defeat dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Central Catholic, they moved to 5-14 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Looking ahead, Wauseon will head out to take on Edon at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Central Catholic, they will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Brother Rice at 11:00 a.m. The Warriors' pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so the Fighting Irish's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
