Basketball Recap: Mountain Pointe Pride vs. Desert Mountain Wolves

Mountain Pointe played in conference for the first time on Friday and they got just the result they we're looking for. In a tight contest that could have gone either way, they made off with a 55-54 victory over the Desert Mountain Wolves. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Pride.

Mountain Pointe found their leader in sophomore Amora Mask, who went 11 of 26 on her way to 28 points and seven rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Mask has scored all season. Kalani Walker was another key player, putting up eight points.

Mountain Pointe was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their assist total in three consecutive matchups.
