Soccer Game Preview: Freedom vs. St. Stephens

Freedom is 1-9 against St. Stephens since April of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Patriots will take on the Indians at 6:00 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Freedom's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 5-0 margin over East Burke. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Freedom.

Meanwhile, St. Stephens was not the first on the board on Friday, but they got there more often. They had just enough and edged out Watauga 3-2. St. Stephens better thank their lucky stars for the performance of Jayla Howlett, as she scored every single goal for her team.

Freedom's record is now 5-12-1. As for St. Stephens, their record now sits at 9-5-1.

Freedom suffered a grim 5-0 defeat to St. Stephens in their previous matchup two weeks ago. Can the Patriots avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
