Soccer Game Preview: BASIS vs. Idea

The BASIS Red Giants will face off against the Idea Timberwolves at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

BASIS is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of District of Columbia's top teams: Sidwell Friends, who was ranked fourth at the time (BASIS was ranked ninth). The Red Giants came up short against the Quakers on Saturday, falling 4-1. The matchup was a 1-1 toss-up at halftime, but BASIS couldn't quite close it out.

Meanwhile, Idea fell victim to Capital City Public Charter School and their airtight defense on Thursday. They lost 8-0 to the EAGLES.

Idea's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for BASIS, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-4-1.
