Recap: Jordan-Matthews Jets vs. Seaforth Hawks
The Jordan-Matthews Jets's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They were dealt a 63-12 defeat at the hands of Seaforth. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Jordan-Matthews in their matchups with Seaforth: they've now lost five in a row.
Despite the loss, Jordan-Matthews saw an underclassman step up: Yamilet Lozano scored five points along with two steals.
Jordan-Matthews bumped their record down to 6-8 with that loss, which was their fifth straight at home. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 14.4 points per game. As for Seaforth, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-2.
Jordan-Matthews will stay at home for another game and welcome Cummings at 6:00 p.m. on January 19th. Seaforth on the road again on Monday and play against Rolesville at 4:30 p.m. on January 15th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in North Carolina (Rolesville is ranked 15th, while Seaforth is ranked 22nd).
