Baseball Recap: Fitzgerald Takes a Loss

Friday just wasn't the day for Fitzgerald's offense. They fell 4-0 to the Hazel Park Vikings on Friday. The Spartans have struggled against the Vikings recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost meeting.

Fitzgerald saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dylan Bush, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base. Bush has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played.

Fitzgerald's loss dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Hazel Park, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-5 record this season.

Fitzgerald will challenge Mott at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Hazel Park, they will take on Clawson at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
