Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Ann Metcalf and Natalie Jones Lead Whitefield Academy to Victory

After losing to St. Joseph D the last time they met, Whitefield Academy decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Whitefield Academy Lions came out on top against the St. Joseph D Defenders by a score of 38-29 on Tuesday.

Whitefield Academy was led to victory by Natalie Jones and Ann Metcalf. Jones almost dropped a double-double on nine points and nine rebounds, while Metcalf posted ten points. Phoebe O'Donnell was another key player, putting up a point in addition to nine boards and three blocks.

Whitefield Academy's record is now 6-1. As for St. Joseph D, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Heritage Christian the next time they take the court. Whitefield Academy will head out to face Heritage Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, while St. Joseph D will host them at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
