Volleyball Recap: Sierra Canyon's Win on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Nine

Sierra Canyon entered their tilt with Cathedral Catholic on Saturday with eight consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with nine. They came out on top against the Dons by a score of 3-1. The Trailblazers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Dons, too.

The win didn't come easy: Cathedral Catholic scored at least 21 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 22-25, 25-22, 25-22.

Among those leading the charge was Madeleine Zaragoza, who had ten digs and three aces.

They weren't the only good server: Sierra Canyon was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 16 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in August of 2024.

Samantha Saba and Kate Schneider certainly did their best on Saturday to avoid the loss. Saba had 13 digs and two aces, while Schneider had six digs and two assists.

Sierra Canyon's record now sits at 15-2. As for Cathedral Catholic, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-3.

Sierra Canyon has already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Notre Dame Academy on the 16th. As for Cathedral Catholic, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-0 win against South Pasadena on the 19th.
