Volleyball Game Preview: Orangeburg-Wilkinson Bruins vs. Hanahan Hawks

The Orangeburg-Wilkinson Bruins will head out on the road to challenge the Hanahan Hawks at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Orangeburg-Wilkinson is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Oceanside Collegiate Academy just ended the team's nine-match winning streak on Tuesday. They fell 3-1 to the Landsharks. While the Bruins didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Landsharks 25-21 in the first set.

Orangeburg-Wilkinson started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 21-25, 25-15, 25-20, 25-15.

Meanwhile, Hanahan lost 3-0 to Oceanside Collegiate Academy on Thursday.

The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-14, 25-14.

Hanahan's defeat dropped their record down to 8-11-2. As for Orangeburg-Wilkinson, their loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 15-3.

Orangeburg-Wilkinson beat Hanahan 3-1 in their previous matchup on September 11th. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bruins since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
