Basketball Game Preview: Calvary Christian Knights vs. Wiregrass Kings

The Calvary Christian Knights are taking a road trip to challenge the Wiregrass Kings at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Calvary Christian is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 65.7 points per game this season.

Last Saturday, Calvary Christian was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 46-40 to Shaw. The match marked the Knights' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Shawdale Ervin put forth a good effort for the losing side as he posted 14 points. Dylan Hosten was another key player, putting up seven points.

Meanwhile, Wiregrass was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were beaten by Abbeville Christian Academy 69-39.

Calvary Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Wiregrass, their loss dropped their record down to 5-7.

Calvary Christian suffered a grim 64-39 defeat to Wiregrass in their previous matchup back in December of 2023. Thankfully for Calvary Christian, Christian Miller (who dropped a double-double on 29 points and 23 boards) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
