Softball Recap: Fairfield Has No Trouble Against Odin

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Mt. Vernon, Fairfield was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They blew past the Odin Eagles 7-1. The Mules not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since April 28th (when they won 15-0).

Kenry Hutchcraft spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on two hits and racked up 12 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Serenity Dagg, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double. That's the most hits she has posted over her last eight matchups. Remi McCune was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Fairfield moved to 13-16 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Coming up, Fairfield will venture away from home to square off against Hamilton County at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Odin does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
