Basketball Recap: Vandalia Comes Up Short

Vandalia lost against Carterville back in February of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Vandalia Vandals fell 68-58 to the Carterville Lions. The Vandals have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Vandalia's loss dropped their record down to 12-17. As for Carterville, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 15-12.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Vandalia will take on Hillsboro at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Carterville, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Lions challenge the Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Pinckneyville knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 11 matches -- so hopefully Carterville likes a good challenge.
