Basketball Recap: Sevastopol Comes Up Short

Sevastopol was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 78-50 loss at the hands of the Kewaunee Storm. While losing is never fun, the Pioneers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 392nd, while the Storm are ranked 144th).

Sevastopol's loss dropped their record down to 8-15. As for Kewaunee, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-7 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Kewaunee beat Sevastopol by a score of 78-50 on Tuesday.
