Encina had to endure a three-match losing streak, but that streak is no more. They put the hurt on the Victory Christian Vikings with a sharp 3-0 victory on Thursday. The Bulldogs not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since September 15th (when they won 3-0).

While Encina won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 27-25, 25-14, 25-19.

Sarah Cowley paced Encina's offense, picking up ten kills. Cowley got some help from Nyla Pomtong and her 17 assists.

Encina's win bumped their record up to 10-16. As for Victory Christian, they dropped their record down to 3-14 with the loss, which was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matches. Encina will face off against Highlands at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Victory Christian, they will square off against Sacramento Waldorf at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
