After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Torrington, Gering was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Newcastle Dogies a 2-0 shutout. Surprisingly, this marked the fourth straight game that the away team has come away the victor.

Giani Gomez and Dominic Mendez scored both of Gering's goals, which were season-firsts for both players.
