Mason typically has all the answers at home, but on Thursday Sycamore proved too difficult a challenge. They won by a set and slipped past the Comets 3-2. The win continues a trend for the Aviators in their matchups with the Comets: they've now won four in a row.

Sycamore was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. The final score came out to 25-20, 17-25, 23-25, 25-17, 15-11.

Despite the loss, Mason saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Logan Zemberi had 20 digs.

Sycamore now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Mason, they moved to 11-5 with that defeat, which also ended their five-game winning streak.

Looking ahead, Sycamore will look to defend their home court on Monday against Scott at 7:00 p.m. As for Mason, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Turpin on the 3rd.
