They came out on top against the Nickerson Panthers by a score of 40-28. The high-scoring effort was just what the Knights needed considering they were shutout in their previous match.
Zac Zimmerman was his usual excellent self, throwing for 340 yards and three touchdowns while completing 76.7% of his passes, and also rushing for 76 yards and two touchdowns on only nine carries. Cooper Garrison was another key player, picking up 139 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Trinity Academy's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-5. As for Nickerson, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-7.
