Soccer Recap: Cary Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Cary, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Felton Grove Galaxy on Wednesday. Given Cary's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 183rd, while Felton Grove are ranked 458th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Lucas Rosas and Angel Lopez Mayo scored both of Cary's goals, bringing their combined season tally to nine goals.

Cary's victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 9-5. As for Felton Grove, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-11.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cary will face off against Middle Creek at 6:15 p.m. on Monday. Cary's defense better be ready for this one: Middle Creek have averaged an impressive 2.8 goals per game this season. As for Felton Grove, they will square off against Holly Springs at 6:15 p.m. on Monday. Holly Springs will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Felton Grove surely won't give up without a fight.
