It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Hudson Falls had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. They came out on top against Cohoes by a score of 6-1. The victory was nothing new for Hudson Falls as they're now sitting on eight straight.

Anna Winter was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in April. She was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI and one double.

Winter wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Abigail Bigelow, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI.

Hudson Falls' win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-4. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.4 runs on average over those games. As for Cohoes, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-9 record this season.

Hudson Falls will be playing in front of their home fans against Lansingburgh at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Cohoes does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
