Volleyball Recap: Holy Innocents Episcopal Comes Up Short

The Holy Innocents Episcopal Golden Bears didn't have quite enough to beat the Eagle's Landing Eagles on Tuesday and fell 3-2.

Harley Ward paced Holy Innocents Episcopal's offense, picking up 15 kills. Ward were helped by Lilah Smith and Amara Donnelly, who contributed 15 assists each. Ward was also solid from the service line: she led the team with nine aces.

Leading Eagle's Landing to victory were Kaeya Headley and Antonella Rodriguez. Headley had nine digs and one assist, while Rodriguez had ten digs and four aces. Rodriguez has been hot recently, having also posted 13 or more assists the last four times she's played.

Holy Innocents Episcopal's defeat dropped their record down to 17-16. As for Eagle's Landing, they have been performing well recently as they've won 16 of their last 21 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 28-10 record this season.
