Volleyball Recap: West Elk Comes Up Short

West Elk lost against Flinthills back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Patriots fell 2-0 to the Mustangs.

While West Elk ultimately came up short, they really made Flinthills work, particularly in the second set. The final score came out to 25-10, 26-24.

Emily Mott paced West Elk's offense, picking up 11 kills. Mott got some help from Elizabeth Woods and her seven assists. Woods was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

West Elk dropped their record down to 3-16 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Flinthills, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 9-3.

West Elk has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Udall on the 23rd. As for Flinthills, they will face off against Belle Plaine on Thursday.
