Softball Recap: Tremont Takes a Loss

Tremont managed to slip by Shannon the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Eagles lost 15-7 to the Red Raiders on Monday. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Red Raiders apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Tremont has also been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-12 record this season. As for Shannon, they moved to 5-18 with that victory, which also ended their 14-game losing streak.

Looking ahead, Tremont will take on West Union at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. West Union's pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so Tremont's hitters will have their work cut out for them. Shannon has already played their next contest (against Vardaman), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
